What is a no volt release switch?
The motor controllers for large electric motors normally incorporate a type of circuit breaker known as a no-volt release. If the power fails, the circuit breaker opens and the motor will not restart when the power is restored.
What does NVR switch mean?
NVRs, sometimes also called magnetic contactors, do exactly what the name implies: they switch a supply current on and off, but automatically switch to an open condition if the supply voltage fails.
Is an e-stop NC or no?
I would recommend wiring the E-Stop to an input terminal via an NC connection. This is the industry standard. It requires a NC (Normally connected) circuit for the machine to be operational, and when the circuit breaks, the machine shuts off.
Why is no volt protection important?
When the power or supply voltage is restored, the circuit remains in the open state until the start pushbutton is pressed manually. Therefore, this arrangement is called as no-voltage protection and such an arrangement is used to protect both the operator and the equipment.

Also Red off button is protruding making it easier to power down machine in an emergency situation.

Test all emergency stop devices. A wiring error or other problems may not be apparent until the emergency stop device is tested. Push all buttons, pull all pull cords, activate all emergency stop devices. If any fail to create the emergency stop condition, count this as a FAILED test.

When the emergency stop button is used then it will be too late. When using normally closed contacts, when the emergency stop part of the line fails, the machine will stop at most, and the loss will be relatively small.
